YUTORI TRAILS

YUTORI TRAILS

The word yutori comes from Japanese and describes a sense of spaciousness — where time feels stretched, not compressed. This idea shapes my guiding services and outdoor videos, inviting people to slow down through natural scenery.

In life we sometimes move at the wrong speed. There is a tendency to rush through travel, trying to fit too much into each day. At Yutori Trails, every trip is thoughtfully timed with attention to season, terrain and distance. This approach supports both safety and enjoyment in the outdoors.

“The earth’s present ecosystem represents four billion years of learning everything the hard way. Don’t mess with that.”
— Gadd, Ben (1995) Handbook of the Canadian Rockies, Second edition, p.685

Planning & Support

Hi, I’m Anna.

Originally from Europe, I’ve spent 22 years living in Canada, exploring the landscapes and working as an outdoor guide.

I’ve led hiking trips across Western and Atlantic Canada, as well as the southwestern United States. I’ve also taught outdoor education, from schools in Vancouver to international classrooms in Hong Kong.

I created Yutori Trails to share the places I explore and help others plan their own outdoor adventures with confidence.
